Annual Town Meeting

The current Chair of the Council, Councillor Marian Cotton, Town Mayor, opted not to call an Annual Town Meeting this year due to historically low levels of public attendance. However, a new Chair of the Council will be elected at the Annual Town Council Meeting, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, who may decide to call the meeting. This will take place before the end of June 2025. Should the new Chair decide to call a meeting we are required to give 7 days' notice, not including weekends or bank holidays. Agendas will be displayed on our website and noticeboards.
